It might be the middle of the UK summer holidays, and the thought of fresh mountain air and fresh ski tracks may not be at the forefront of your mind, but the ski season is just around the corner so it’s time to get organised!

Flights

Getting to Verbier couldn’t be easier, with frequent flights from the UK to Geneva being operated by British Airways, Swiss and Easyjet. Most airlines offer huge savings on flights booked in advance, with airfares throughout January currently costing as little as £60* return. The demand over the peak weeks is only going to increase, so it pays to plan ahead and book your flights as early as possible. We recommend using Skyscanner to find the best prices, routes and airlines.

Airport Transfers

Once you touchdown at Geneva Airport, your private transfer mini-bus will whisk you up to Verbier. We work with a reliable, local transfer company and we highly recommend booking your transfer as soon as your flight times have been confirmed. The sooner you book, the more likely you will able to secure your preferred pick-up and drop-off dates/times. Private transfers are cheaper than you think, but we also offer shared transfers too… saving even more money!

Ski Passes

Winter 2016/2017 lift pass prices are out now! Even better news, book your lift passes 3 weeks prior to needing them and you’ll automatically receive a 10% discount. Booking your lift passes in advance will also enable your Ski Armadillo Chalet Host to collect your passes before you arrive, allowing you to avoid the morning queues and head straight up the mountain to enjoy the fresh snow.

Ski Hire

We work with Mountain Air, who offer Verbier’s largest selection of ski and snowboard equipment for rental and sale. For such a service, location is key and Mountain Air is conveniently situated at the bottom of the Medran piste. Pre-book your ski hire with Mountain Air through Ski Armadillo and you will receive free storage for the duration of your rental… but spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. No need to carry your skis around town with you… just store them at the foot of the mountain and head off for that much needed après drink!

Ski Lessons

School holidays are the most popular time for families to go skiing, so it’s important to book your ski school lessons well in advance. If your children have different skiing abilities, securing lessons at the same time can become tricky… so book ahead to avoid disappointment! We have been working with ES Snowsports for numerous years now, who offer bespoke group and individual lessons, for those new to the slopes right through to wannabee Olympians.

Childcare

Like ski lessons, childcare is in high demand during the main UK school holidays. At Ski Armadillo we can arrange the perfect care for your little ones, whether you require a private nanny, a crèche facility or a babysitter for the occasional evening. Lots of families book well in advance, so we advise doing the same to ensure a stress-free family skiing holiday

Your Preferred Choices

The earlier you book, the more choice will be on offer. You might think that ‘leaving it late’ will enable you to secure a last-minute deal, but you risk losing that perfect chalet or not being able to travel on your preferred dates. So whilst you’re relaxing on the beach this summer, spare a thought for your next skiing holiday to Verbier and start planning now… After all, it’s only 100 more sleeps until Verbier Ski Resort opens up for business!
