Our chalet hosts are the heartbeat of Ski Armadillo, chosen for their knack for balancing refinement and relaxation. Over our training week, the newer team members became acquainted with our chalet portfolio and undertook meticulous inventories to ensure everything was in its right place, down to the last teaspoon. All hailing from backgrounds in luxury service, they already know their way around a napkin fold, but this was a chance for everyone to come together, get to know each other, and get our renowned in-chalet service down to a T.

We certainly weren’t complaining when we were treated to test dinners whipped up by each chef over the training week. From Alan’s Argentinian Barbecue feast (cooked over coal on the terrace as snow dumped down!) to Rina’s delicious gourmet spread and a slightly less-successful fondue night hosted by James, our Operations Director (don’t worry, he won’t be in the kitchen during your stay) we indulged in a week of culinary delights from around the globe.

Cocktail Training & Wine Education
Our friends at The Rabbit Hutch, a local speakeasy-style Verbier bar, have crafted a bespoke in-chalet cocktail menu exclusive to Ski Armadillo with delicious creations, including the ‘Basil-Honey Sour’ & ‘Armadillo Punch’. Our team can now serve you super tasty, bar-quality concoctions in the comfort of your ski chalet. And if you’ve got a go-to classic that you always reach for, they’ll be happy to shake it up for you.
Afterwards, we welcomed talented Wine Educator Claire on behalf of Le Verre Gourmand to brush up our team’s knowledge of our meticulously chosen house bottles. From artisanal natural whites to delicious velvety reds, we indulged in a full tasting and learned about everything from growing conditions to mouthfeel. It’s a tough job, but someone had to do it!
