Verbier launched its 4 year partnership with Liverpool FC ready for the 18/19 season with Robbie Fowler skiing for the cameras. Since then there’ve been events and promotions not just out in Verbier but also back at Anfield.
On 1st Feb Premiership high-flying Liverpool hosted mid-table Southampton, and we had the privilege to attend Anfield for the partnership along with a host of other Verbier related representatives. This was a fantastic event that started with meeting stars of both football and winter tourism in a big welcome reception hosted in the Legends Lounge and included a 3 course meal followed by the match itself, which Liverpool won 4-0, as enjoyed by our M.D Tom (pictured)
In addition to providing the enjoyment of food and football, the event was a great social occasion. We met goalkeeping legend Bruce Grobbelaar and Man of the Match Andy Robertson (pictured below) and got a chance to talk football and skiing with our friends at the Verbier tourist board.
Liverpool FC comes to Verbier in April
Now to celebrate the halfway point in this fantastic collaboration, there’s going to be an April of football festivities coming to our beloved ski resort of Verbier from the 6th – 19th April 2020 visitors to Verbier will find there’s Liverpool football themed activities both in resort & on the pistes. There’ll be match screenings across the sports bars of the resort and plenty of fans not to mention representatives of the club around.
The 2 week event culminates in the Gala evening on the 18th, with a 3 course meal with club legends Sami Hyypia and Vladimir Smicer with Swiss footballers Christophe Bonvin & Stéphane Henchoz as after dinner speakers. This is followed by live music, entertainment & photos with the players followed by a live screening of the Liverpool vs Brighton match, can you imagine a better evening for any fan of the club?

Right in the middle of the Liverpool FC festivities on the 11th April, there’s another big event in Verbier, it is of course the famous Verbier High Five race. If you’re planning to visit in April, that’s definitely something you wouldn’t want to miss.
