We all know that the food is one of the most important parts of any chalet holiday. Not only is it essential to fuel your body before a long day on the slopes, but it’s also a great way to relax and indulge after spending the day outside in the cold.

Everyone is different when it comes to chalet meals – some like to load up on hearty dishes of warming food, like Beef Bourgignon and lasagne, whereas others are partial to a slice or two of afternoon tea cake. In our chalets, we cater for every taste(bud)!

Breakfasts are a casual affair, with dozens of choices including a cooked breakfast, porridge, cereals, fruit, croissants, yoghurts and more. Let your chef know how you like to wake up in the morning and they can prepare almost anything, from eggs sunny-side up to pancakes.

Your afternoon tea will be freshly baked that morning and available for you to help yourself once you return from your day skiing. Enjoy a cup of tea and a slice in front of a warm fire, or out on the balcony in the sunshine, admiring the valley views.

Your nightly dinner party kicks off with canapés, served with Champagne on your first night (or every night in our Champagne chalets), followed by a carefully crafted started, main course and desert, all created by our Head Chef. He has designed our menu selection to use local, seasonal produce, allowing our chefs to still be flexible to any dietary requirements or special requests. Your meal will be accompanied by a selection of wines, hand-chosen over the summer by the Ski Armadillo wine committee. We have some fabulous French and Italian pairings, including a delicious Colombard/Ugni Blanc and a Cabernet Merlot from the Chateau Bauduc Vineyard, which features wine in Gordon Ramsey and Rick Stein’s restaurants.

Finish the evening with coffee and chocolates in your chalet, before doing it all again the next day! Sound tempting? Take a look at our chalet portfolio here.
