Family-friendly Ski School

We have an excellent relationship with European Snowsports, who have been offering friendly qualified multilingual instructors in Verbier since 2003. Happy children are the key to an amazing family skiing holiday and European Snowsport have experience in instructing children from as young as the age of 3.

ES Penguins: For ages 3-6, where children fall in love with skiing, giving your little ones a fun and interesting introduction to the snow at an early age. You can choose for your children to do just one morning during the holiday or up to a full week of mornings. Groups are limited to a maximum of 5 children.

Kids Academy: You might think it’s difficult to get children any more excited about skiing than they are already, but the ES instructors’ boundless enthusiasm will do just that. European Snowsport run exciting 5 day or 5 half-day programmes for 6-12 year olds at 5 different ability levels. What can they expect? Fun, video feedback, a freeride competition, a safe introduction to the park and, of course, medals. Lessons take place Monday to Friday for either 5 full days or 5 half days. Lunch is included in the full days.

Freeski Academy: For children and teens from 11 years old, European Snowsport offers the freeski academy. The Freeski Academy looks at all aspects of skiing including; freeride, freestyle, park, piste skiing, variable and moguls. Regardless of what level your children are, they can learn to harness their skills in these different areas. Lessons take place for either 5 half days during the week or 5 full days. Full days include lunch.

Sledging

For a unique experience, why not try tobogganing whilst in Verbier? Head to the top of Savoleyres and enjoy a vertical decent of 848m, all the way back down to La Tzoumaz. At 10km, this is the longest run in Switzerland and not for the faint-hearted! Toboggans can be rented from numerous ski hire shops in and around Verbier.

Husky Sleigh Rides

It’s almost impossible not to fall in love with the beautiful Husky and here’s an opportunity to get up close and personal with these stunning animals. From 45 minute scenic tours, where your personal ‘musher’ will guide you through the most scenic routes that Verbier has to offer, to full-day excursions that cover 20km of terrain, where you’ll learn how to interact with the dogs and enjoy a stunning mountain lunch… This non-ski activity is a must for any dog love

Snow-Shoeing

Raquette à Neige is an extremely popular pastime and a great form of exercise that can be enjoyed by all ages. Either set out on your own or join a group led by an experienced local guide who will show you the best hidden parts that Verbier has to offer. Within no time at all you’ll be off the beaten track soaking up the true wilderness of the Alps. Most sports shops in Verbier hire snowshoes and poles, just remember to pick up a trail map from the Tourist Office

Plein Soleil

Why? The perfect chalet for family’s due to its size, bedroom configuration and location. The Plein Soleil has 2 en-suite double rooms (for the adults) and an en-suite bunk room sleeping 4 (for the kids) and a large open-plan living room, where families can come together and reminisce about the day’s events.

Laineux

Why? Great location, only 100m from Place Centrale, so all things apres-ski are easily accessible. In addition, guests at the Laineux can enjoy the resident’s pool and gym, a great way to spend your family time between skiing and your evening meal.
