As the Easter holidays approach we often get asked whether little ones can join their parents on the slopes. Every child is different, and some will take to the slopes at an earlier age than others. Some will need more encouragement whilst some are keen to get going as soon as they spot the first signs of snow!
Our children’s classes start at three years of age, and we separate those who are under-18yrs into three separate skiing groups. Our Penguins classes are available for 3-6yrs, our Kids Academy is available for 6-12yrs and our Freeski Academy is designed for 11-17yrs.
If you find that after a few lessons your children aren’t enjoying their time on the slopes, we can organise day care for them. During the day our qualified nannies will care for your children in the comfort of your family chalet, or they can take them out to enjoy the fantastic facilities available to you in Verbier, including a sports centre, husky sledging, ice-skating and the Verbier playground. They’ll bring your children to meet you for lunch, and your personal chef will serve high tea for them at around 6pm. The menus are adaptable so that likes and dislikes are well catered for, and we can serve infant purees.
We recommend booking a family chalet before you arrive, so that we can make sure our team of qualified nannies are available to look after your little ones in the right accommodation. You can find out more about skiing lessons for children and our private nanny service by visiting our childcare page. We make sure that families always enjoy their time in Verbier, whatever age your children are.
