So, the ski season is finally upon us and we all wait in anticipation for 5 months of fresh powder nights followed by bluebird ski days. Although we can’t predict what the weather will be like from December through to April, we can advise when ‘we’ believe you should be enjoying your next catered ski chalet holiday to Verbier
Families
For all those Olympic-Wannabees not yet in school, you can enjoy your next family ski holiday to Verbier as and when you please. Mid to late March is a great time to travel, as the days are long and sunny, yet the slopes are usually in great shape after months of natural snowfall. Once your children are in school, when travelling during term time becoming restricted, your choices may become limited too. For those that can travel from Friday 16 December, a pre-Christmas family ski trip is a great way to start the festive period. Towards the end of the season, some schools may even break up for Easter early, so a week’s skiing from Sunday 26 March is advisable. In addition to these dates, Christmas, February Half-Term and Easter week are always popular times for families to travel… but booking early is essential.
Friends
Where shall we go? Who shall we invite? When shall we travel? The three most common questions when trying to organise a ski trip with friends. Once you know how many will be traveling, the key is to pick a date and book time of work, so you’re all committed. People may drop out along the way, but finding replacements will be easier than changing dates. Where shall we go? Obviously Verbier! When shall we travel? Depending on your flexibility, try and avoid the main holiday dates and choose a week throughout January of early Feb. Mid-March is also a great time to ski with friends, where you can enjoy a drink or two on the sunny terraces after a full day on the slopes. Remember, we can cater for groups ranging from 2 people to 16, either on a shared chalet basis or exclusive chalet use, and have some amazing ‘last minute’ availability… so let us know your dates and we can advise accordingly.
Short-Breaks
Whether you’re wanting to organise a corporate skiing trip or unable to take a full week off work, why not take advantage of our exceptional short break offers. With the more traditional short breaks operating from Wednesday until Sunday, we recommend taking an alternative approach and travelling from Sunday until Wednesday. Why? Because you will be able to secure cheaper air fares and reduced catered chalet prices. For more information on our ‘alternative ski weekends’, please refer to our previous article
