Verbier’s nightlife is as famous as its skiing, with the apres being both lively and sophisticated. The party starts on the slopes and ends up in town, where most of Verbier’s main bars are concentrated…. all within a short stagger of Place Centrale, in the centre of the resort. Due to Verbier being a small, well-designed resort, getting from one bar to another couldn’t be easier. There are lots of options to suit a wide variety of tastes, but here’s a rundown on our recommended spots.
You’ve clocked more ski miles than you thought was possible, so now it’s time to kick-off your skis and enjoy that well-deserved drink! Starting with up the mountain, the ski area hosts plenty of amazing après bars. The first being Mouton Noire – Verbier’s equivalent of La Folie Douce – with its sun soaked terraces, and DJ booth.
Ice Cube is another great après bar, serving food and a great variety of drinks and not to mention the amazing music. Both host ‘Happy Hour’ from 15.00 – 16.00 every day. Plus they’re easy to find as both are next to the Medran-Ruinettes lift – no skiing required (cheeky)!
Le Rouge is another much-loved après spot. Located a little further down the mountain at the bottom of the Le Rouge piste, the party starts at 15.00pm, with the resident DJ performing house music every afternoon. Making your way back into resort, you’re spoilt for choice.
Sunbathe at A Fer Cheval or Vina Bangnes, a popular spot for hours of afternoon sunshine, a fabulous extensive wine menu and great ambience – luxury! If you’re searching for a more comfortable, casual spot, then head to Pub Mont Fort. With large sunny terraces, weekly drink promotions on beers, wines, shakers and shots, it has a great snack menu including the famous burgers. A darts board, sports on the big screens and a happy hour running from 16.00 – 17.00, makes it a perfect spot to relocate with all your friends and family at the end of the day. Still not convinced? Pub Mont fort also hosts live performances from the best bands in resort most days too!
T Bar, another sports bar and live music venue, offers another great location to continue the après scene. The proper party scene kicks off around 22.30, but make sure to grab some of T Bar’s sushi too, open from 16.00 – 02.00.
Farinet Après Bar and lounge is well-known as one of the most lively and popular bars in resort, much-loved by locals and holiday makers alike. Live music, beer throwing (optional) and one of the best atmospheres in resort, is not to be missed! Wednesdays and Saturdays tend to be the liveliest evenings but you can always find a party at Farinet! Finally, for a late night venue, we’d recommend the Etoile Rouge nightclub. Located in the centre of town, Etoile offers dancing, DJ’s and drinks by the dozen. Open from 20.00 – 04.00 every night throughout the season.
However, our list of recommendations wouldn’t be complete without the mention of The Farm nightclub, the place to ‘see and be seen’ in Verbier since 1971. More of an institution than a club, The Farm Club, this world-famous venue has a glamorous 70’s feel but still has an unrivalled reputation. Expect Champagne, Gucci and an abundance of Fur Coats #Furbier.
Party until the early hours, but don’t blame Ski Armadillo for the headache the morning after… we only write the suggestions! Enjoy guys!
